Description:The Vice President will lead the team of data and application developers to ensure that business and technical requirements are thoroughly understood and implemented across the organization. Will work with teams across the credit union to ensure the development of data management strategies. We be crucial in the role with business to improve data quality as well sound application integrations. All development activities align to organizational strategy and standards. Responsible for education and training of end users on data and application integrations and how they can successfully leverage solutions within their business teams.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  • Develop a roadmap for platforms, processes and tools needed to effectively handle applications data integrations enterprise wide with an eye to the future
  • Translate technical concepts to business implications/capabilities to drive alignment and decision making.
  • Drive communication throughout the company to elevate the credit union's commitment to clean, reliable, and accurate data.
  • Work closely with leadership to set strategy and define success criteria for application and data integration initiative.
  • Work closely with all business teams involved with application development, application and data integrations in support of the enterprise to ensure that strategy is aligned, and resources are deployed to assist internally promoted projects in a coordinated manner such that efforts are not duplicative.
  • Document data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning and establishing the governance and quality standards for the organization's data management.
  • Strategically enable the right data to conduct analysis, inform decisions and deliver results.
  • Serve as integrations subject matter expert for current state process and execution as well forward-thinking strategies.
  • Facilitate the leadership of cross-organizational teams ensuring collaboration, engagement and ultimate execution of tasks and deliverables required to ensure development and data integrations meets stakeholder needs.
  • Stay ahead of data governance best practices and adapt to emerging technologies and policies and continuously improve the data governance strategy.
  • Create the single, trusted source for key business data that can be shared across the company.Job QualificationsHere are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
    • 7-9+ years professional experience in application and data integration, with a minimum 4-6 years of management or leadership experience, including proven experience building and managing high-performing teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage senior technology staff and to define and execute deliverables on time and in budget; experience in designing and implementing architectural solutions which solve strategic and tactical business needs.
    • Ability to convey ideas and gain consensus/buy-in both horizontally and vertically across the organization
    • Ability to lead/drive teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data challenges.
    • Ability to function in a business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
    • Some travel required.Here are a few qualifications we'd LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.
      • B.S. in Computer Sciences, Information Systems/Technology or related field.
      • Demonstrated expertise around database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar database platforms and strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
      • Advanced understanding and experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle.
      • Strong knowledge of systems and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
