General Summary

The Accounting & Treasury Manager will work closely with the CFO and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Team to ensure financial records are maintained in a timely and an accurate manner and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including preparation of the monthly financial statements and performance analyses. In addition, this role will manage day-to-day treasury functions including oversight of bank accounts, cash transactions, debt repayment and cash flow forecasting. This role supervises, manages, and directs the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of Accounts Payable and Payroll Staff. Normal work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Extra hours are required to complete month-end closing within five business days. Additional hours may also be required to complete specific projects that are deadline driven. The incumbent will practice absolute confidentiality. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other tasks as assigned and directed by Senior Financial Managers, Executive Group and the Shareholders. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) may be required. This job description provides an overview of responsibilities and task to be performed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions and actions to a supervisor and/or Manager Safety and Health.
Monitors the safety practices (including PPE) of all team members and proactively addresses deficits
Maintains a clean and orderly work area and meets other housekeeping needs as required by Sunrock, MSHA 30 CFR 56.20003, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22.
Manages the general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll functions of the Accounting Department so that the financial statements can be prepared accurately and timely.
Analyzes general ledger information to provide accurate and meaningful information to management for financial reporting, identification of potential problem areas and unusual trends
Provides reports and analyses as required to ensure timely completion of the external audit and governmental reporting.
Prepares journal entries as necessary and allocates cost appropriately to cost centers to oversee completion of the month end close prior to a quality review.
Gains a thorough knowledge of the company's budgeting, forecasting, costing systems, models and projections. Works with the CFO to assist non-accounting employees in the preparation of budgets, forecast revisions.
Gains a working knowledge of all financial systems used by the company.
Supervises the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely transactions, processes, and accuracy of general ledger entries.
Supervises general ledger accounting to ensure processes are performed in a timely manner, periodically evaluating the SOP to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Supervises the preparation of the operating company's payroll.
Supervises preparation of filings of sales and use tax reports, property tax filings, and any other governmental reports.
Manages day-to-day treasury functions including oversight of bank accounts, cash transactions, debt repayment and cash flow forecasting.
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
--- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in English. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format in English. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors in English.
--- Demonstrated use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems) and intermediate software packages word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.)
--- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
--- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
--- Strong leadership, communication and demonstrated business analysis skills are critical
--- Attention to detail and ability to influence others will be needed
--- Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.

Required Experiences
Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related field required. CPA or CMA and seven (7) or more years of related experience required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
