Job Description:

As the Vice President of Digital Offer Management and Marketing, you will drive world-class planning, positioning, and realization of Eaton's suite of digital solutions for the Utility, Data Centers, and Industrial segments. You and your team will develop, drive and oversee the execution of the go-to-market approach, curate customer perspectives, industry trends, segment software market requirements competitive analysis, and technology disruptions that will drive revenue and earnings growth for the segments. This will include enabling top line growth, developing software roadmaps, pricing, partnerships and messaging. You will collaborate across the organization, working closely with the segment software sales teams and regional segment strategy leaders around the globe to ensure they have the resources necessary to attract new customers while liaising with the software, hardware and digital services engineering leaders and other internal partners to deliver solutions that are enabled by our devices. You will lead a global team of over 100 offer management, marketing and operations employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, communicate and enable the execution of business case and segment specific digital offer strategies
  • Product/offer strategy: market research/intelligent and segmentation by region, business model development, investment themes, build/buy/partner approaches for digital value creation, develop digital offer strategies for the segments (utilities, industrial, data centers, buildings, residential healthcare) including data monetization
  • Product/offer marketing: value proposition/use case and journey maps for segment specific customer problems, offer positioning, working with field marketing for digital value creation campaigns, sales and field marketing enablement, offer pricing, coordinate/manage offer launches
  • Technical product management: define market requirements, hire/train offer managers and product owners to work with R&D and create technical requirements for products/offers, product/offer roadmaps, partnering with R&D to drive technology partnerships
  • Strategic planning: strategic and annual operations planning framework for digital offers, aligning with the regional business/segment strategy leaders, business hardware product managers and sales/business development leaders.
  • Partnerships: Work with the regional segment strategy leaders to develop and implement a strategic framework for partnerships (technology/go to market) and acquisitions.
  • Value proposition and offer positioning: data-oriented offers, service offers, software solutions and value-based pricing for data insights, APIs, platform etc., in addition to offer rationalization.
  • Direct engineering and data science organizations on market and technical requirements to execute the roadmap and guide the product development lifecycle.

        • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited institution, MBA preferred
        • 10+ years of experience leading software product management teams for an industrial organization in one or more of our targeted segments (utility, data center, industrial, residential healthcare) with a deep understanding of the customers, partners and sales strategies that drive growth
        • 15+ years of product management experience in an enterprise software or industrial manufacturing company. The leader should have implemented world class software product management practices at industrial companies
        • Strong working experience with software platforms, analytics and application software for industrial/manufacturing environments
        • Strong experience enabling evolution and growth of a global P&L organization for industrial software
        • Experience leading and transforming a global organization, evolving digital capabilities within sales, software and hardware R&D, marketing and operations teams
        • Experience influencing investment management and business planning decisions, including acquisition targets and organic growth strategies
        • Analytical and fast paced, a bold visionary that seeks and encourages disruption that fuels innovation
        • Strong ability to build relationships globally and influence others to drive results
        • Good balance of assertiveness and diplomacy
        • Strong followership and ability to coach and develop a high performing engaged team
