Job Description:

The Director of Family Engagement leads the CHS Family Recruitment and Resource teams. The Director works closely with the CHS Marketing Team. The success of the Director of Family Engagement will be measured by the number of families who apply to be foster families with CHS and the number of children who are placed with CHS families. Position is remote with ability to travel to Greensboro, NC headquarters. Leadership Role--- Active member of the Foster Care to Permanency Leadership and Management teams--- Coach, motivate, and engage staff, supervisors, and colleagues across the state of North Carolina to deliver outstanding results--- Demonstrate a bias for action and dedication to achieving goals--- Prepare and execute clear strategies for the team--- Contribute to excellence within the team and across the organization--- Work across the organization to achieve department and organizational goals, providing administrative, logistical, and strategic support--- Aggressively pursue goals identified within the CHS Strategic plan and incorporate new ideas that improve process--- Participate and serve on the Service Review Committee Area of Responsibility Recruitment Team--- Create and execute a data-driven strategy to recruit new foster families (including therapeutic)--- Create and execute a strategy to engage multiple sectors of the community, including, but not limited to, faith and business communities, to raise awareness about the need for licensed families--- Develop and manage an annual Information Meeting plan in the locations and frequencies necessary to meet organizational objectives--- Work closely with the Marketing Team to support the development and management of an annual marketing plan, specifically supporting the focus on the right locations, frequencies, and messaging necessary to meet organizational objectives--- Work closely with the Foster Care to Permanency Team to manage family recruitment in consideration of child and family caseloads--- Create and execute an approach to measure and manage the performance of the Recruitment Team Resource Team--- Create and execute a data-driven strategy to receive and process DSS child placement referrals and family inquiries in a timely manner--- Coach the team to provide high quality customer service to DSS and CHS families who engage with the Resource Team--- Create and execute an approach to measure and manage the performance of the Resource Team--- Supervise employees on the Recruitment and Resource teams--- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws--- Coach and develop team members to achieve organizational objectives, team responsibilities, and personal growth--- Effectively incorporate technology to support the teams' work, specifically the application of Microsoft Office 365 and Binti--- Utilize organizational skills and attention to detail General--- Display sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics--- Perform other duties and projects related to the mission and values of Children's Home Society Qualifications--- Master's degree from an accredited college/university, human service, or behavioral science field preferred--- Minimum two years' supervisory or management experience--- Minimum four years' experience recruiting, training, sales, or public speaking and presentations--- Commitment to meeting the needs of the 3,000 children referred to CHS for a family placement every year--- Ability to make families feel comfortable, listened to, and connected to the organization--- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities--- Detail and goal-oriented, with excellent organization skills--- Excellent relationship building and relationship management skills--- Ability to meet evening and weekend commitments--- Database management experience create, utilize and interpret data reports; Binti software experience helpful--- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook Suite--- Strong desire to support the agency's mission and organizational values and beliefs--- Maintain valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business
