The TerritoryManager is responsible for organizing and executing the necessary activitiesand resources required for developing and growing Medtronic's VAD businesswithin assigned accounts. The Territory Manager works collaboratively with theClinical Specialist Team, Marketing Team and Customer Service Team. Thisposition requires extensive travel. Trains and educatesinvestigators/customers on proper use of Medtronic's Ventricular Assist Device(VAD) product and technology. Works withsurgeons, nurses, research coordinators, cardiologists and other hospitalpersonnel to facilitate optimal outcomes during implant, post-operative careand long-term use of the HVAD system.Supports Field Sales on providing the best possible outcomes and servicefor our customers. Works closely with Sales team and Director of InternationalSales, provides case support to wider team when required. Will partner with CMOon case analysis, trouble shooting and clinical trial support. Collaborates with Marketing/ProductManagement, Engineering and Clinical Affairs on key projects and initiatives **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Promotesafe and efficacious use of HVAD system within approved sites + Providestechnical support, information and demonstration of HVAD system to cliniciansand hospital professionals + Consultswith physicians and site study coordinator on preoperative and post-operative relatedissues + Workin collaboration with Clinical Specialist Team to ensure 'Optimal ClinicalOutcomes' + Attendvarious trade shows to support promotional and educational activities + Coordinate/participatesin planned customer education programs + AssistsMarketing in developing training and educational activities + Pointof contact for hospital personnel to include, physicians and VAD coordinatorsfor anything HVAD related + Materialsmanagement contact for ordering/billing and device return procedures + Workwith Marketing and implanting and non-implanting site to increase enrollment + Developand nurture relationships with study Primary Investigators (PI's), theirpartners, office personnel and support staff + Supportall aspects of Medtronic HeartWare business at assigned implanting andnon-implanting study sites + Monthly/bi-monthlyvisits to approved sites + Maintaincontact with customers to evaluate their clinical and educational needs + Performson-site surgical training and clinical support for the Medtronic HeartWareVentricular Assist Device (HVAD) product and technology + Developand execute clinical education programs designed to enhance user competencies + Cultivatesclose relationship with strategic clinical partners (Key Opinion Leaders),including all training centers and their support staff (VAD coordinators,cardiologist, perfusionist, anesthesiologist) + Contributesto objectives and programs for the development and clinical support of theCompany's products + Providesnursing and/or medical expertise in the development, implementation, casereports, journal articles and clinical reports from clinicians + RepresentsMedtronic HeartWare at conferences and symposiums + Workwith Marketing and Product Management to establish priorities for the Companydirection, new product development, and customer satisfaction + Advisesmanagement of any and all situations affecting clinical results **MUST HAVE: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** _IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASICQUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME_ + Bachelor'sDegree + Minimum 3 years of medical sales **NICE TO HAVE: DESIRED/PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:** + BA/BSdegree in relevant field of study required such as Nursing, Biomedical Science,Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent + Minimum 3 years of medical device sales within cardiac surgery, interventionalcardiology or endovascular surgery + Demonstratedcardiac operating theatre and/or cath lab experience + Highlymotivated, great desire to help others + Composedunder stress and well organized + Excellentwritten/verbal communication skills and listening skills + Excellentleadership and influencing skills + Strategicplanning skills; ability to make timely and sound decisions + Abilityto organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments + Abilityto build strong relationships with key physicians, users and employees acrossfunctions and at all levels + Demonstrateshighest degree of integrity + Willingnessto travel up to 60% is required + Abilityto work independently; while at the same time playing an active team role + Presentationskills, able to introduce new technologies and therapies within a clinicaltrial setting + Abilityto develop, implement and evaluate clinical education methodologies andassessment instruments + Workingknowledge of conflict resolution and the mediation principles and techniques **PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:** + The physical demands described withinthe Responsibilities section of this job description are representative ofthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job.
