Job Description:

Position Purpose: This position provides strategic leadership, guidance and manage the Medicare STARs program across the company's Medicare plans.

• Act as a senior leader and expert of Medicare Stars Program to ensure Stars objectives are met to support the overall strategic and Enterprise goals
  
• Develop, manage and coordinate clinical and non-clinical Stars-related activities corporate wide and provide guidance on these activities in Centene's Medicare plans
  
• Integrate Stars activities with risk adjustment initiatives
  
• Serve as a business resource and subject expert for health plan quality and Medicare operations teams and all internal and external business partners
  
• Closely follow CMS guidance and translate into business strategies and tactics including; policy changes
  
• Perform analysis of enterprise-wide data and practices to identify opportunities for improvement at the local and national level
  
• Perform analysis, identify trends in STARs measurements at the plan and corporate level, identify improvement opportunities, and initiate action plans to for implementation
• Perform other duties as assigned Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of related experience is required. Knowledge of operations, data analytics, or public policy development experience in a Medicare managed care environment is required. Knowledge of Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services Star requirements for Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAO), Medicare Medicaid Plans (MMP) and NCQA oversight requirements preferred. Knowledge of project management, administration or operations in federal health care programs preferred. Some experience functioning as a lead is required. Up to 30% travel may required
