Job Description:
Your impact: As the VP Card Services, you'll have the
opportunity to use your analytical, leadership, and management
talents as you oversee our credit and debit card servicing; reduce
and/or mitigate card fraud; identify and create potential new card
services; and develop process improvements and efficiencies to
ensure excellent member service. Your creativity talent will be
utilized to develop and promote sales strategies to increase card
market share and grow our debit and credit card portfolios. The
contributions you can anticipate making: Leading division results
and goals by: Establishing performance standards and plans for the
card services and card product area. Recommending and implementing
strategies to balance growth, risk, and return. Monitoring programs
to ensure quality and key performance factors are being achieved.
Assisting in the implementation of Coastal's strategic plans for
the department. Assessing service effectiveness and making
recommendations accordingly. Recommending new card products and
services as well as adjustments to existing programs. Increasing
the penetration numbers of the existing Coastal membership.
Conducting product, trend, and market analyses to ensure our card
products are competitive and profitable. Coordinating with internal
business partners to ensure products are presented in the most
efficient and cost-effective way possible. Presenting proposals for
your recommended changes and coordinating implementation.
Accomplishing annual planned projects. Providing exceptional
customer service by: Monitoring service to ensure we are providing
professional, courteous customer experiences. Managing vendor
relationships to ensure capabilities are being fully utilized.
Building rapport with vendors and managing the relationships to
ensure optimal service. Aligning resources to ensure consistent
service levels. Ensuring your staff has the knowledge and tools
needed to perform well. Developing team by: Identifying each of
your team member's talents and helping them do more of their best
work. Scheduling one-on-one meetings with each team member on a
regular basis. Conducting stay interviews and performance pulses on
a regular basis. Building a culture that embodies the five Coastal
values. Cross-training to ensure optimal coverage. Optimizing staff
and processes. Ensuring your staff has the knowledge and tools
needed to perform well. Successfully recruiting additional staff as
needed. Ensuring the card services team is operating in full
compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
Understanding applicable credit policies, industry regulations and
requisite impact of those. governance items to prospective new
products or initiatives. Remaining current on the latest fraud
trends. Mitigating fraud measures by deploying tactics to protect
members and credit union from losses. Ensuring that proper controls
are in place to identify errors and fraudulent activities in a
timely manner and minimize negative consequences. Participating in
audits and exams. Resolving audit and exam findings. Ensuring the
BCP preparedness of your staff. Controlling expenses and unit costs
by: Building strong third-party vendor relationships in order to
optimize our service and contract Terms. Participating in the
budget-planning process with specific accountability for the
budgets and planning of the card services area. To be successful in

Interested? Here's what we need to see on your resume: Experience:
At least ten years of experience working operational units in a
financial services organization At least eight years of experience
with credit and debit card portfolios At least five years of
operations management experience Experience managing third-party
vendor relationships Experience applying credit and risk principles
toward business goals Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Related bachelor's degree preferred Deadline for Application: All
