The PositionArch Capital Services is actively seeking an experienced Manager of Infrastructure Services. The Manager of Infrastructure Engineering, utilizing a strong technical background, oversees a tight-knit multi-functional team to deliver managed services to internal customers. The individual operates independently and with senior management on complex assignments involving the analysis and implementation of both business and regulatory technology requirements to maximize benefits to the business.The Manager of Infrastructure Engineering manages infrastructure services initiatives through the entire product lifecycle. This role will oversee team workload, performance, and identify resource needs to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. The Manager of Infrastructure Engineering will review existing and new solutions with direct reports and approve adjustments to meet business objectives. The individual will act as the team and senior leadership point of contact. Travel up to 15% maybe be required based on business need.Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Service Delivery Managers, Domain Owners, and customer staff/managers in the specification of and delivery of the product roadmapManage IT engineering team to deliver quality servicesManage staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment, selection, training, performance management, and recognitionDevelop and maintain an effective engineering organization; mentor engineering staff to efficiently accomplish goals while building flexible, timely solutionsPlan and direct the work of the engineering staff, developing timely solutions to designated objectivesPrepare and maintain initiative and resource schedules; monitor progress of initiatives, confer with engineers, and review reports to see that stories are progressing according to schedule, cost estimates. and guidelinesReview and approve specifications, designs, and other technical documentation prepared by engineersEnsure adherence to standard governance, operational guidelines, and production support SLA---sCoordinate the efforts of third-party and outsourced infrastructure service vendorsManage and actively participate in the resolution of infrastructure related issuesRequired Skills/Experience8 to 10 years of related experienceExperience managing OnPrem and Cloud information technology initiatives and teams with broad knowledge of related technologiesBroad expertise in theoretical and practical application of highly specialized information technology best practice methods and techniquesExperience with Agile processes as an Infrastructure Manager or Scrum MasterStrong leadership and motivational skills to accomplish objectivesExcellent interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsCapable of adapting to a constantly changing environmentEducationRequired knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a bachelor---s degree in computer science or related fieldIndustry specific training and/or designations are a plus The CompanyArch Capital Group Ltd. is a Bermuda-based company which provides insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance on a worldwide basis.
