Department overview: Loan Platforms is a highly successful global business, providing technology and workflow solutions for corporate loans. Our clients are all the top global banks, asset managers, custodians, trustees and other third parties. Users of our platforms include front, middle and back office personnel, who interact with each other, our data and our workflows in order to operate at scale in a highly complex and often manual environment. ClearPar is the first fully operational provider of par and distressed loan closing and record keeping services for the primary and secondary par loan markets. Through a unique combination of experienced personnel and electronic processing, hardware and software, ClearPar has built a single platform system to address market demands for efficient settlement of par loan closings. Position summary IHS Markit is seeking an experienced professional person who will be located within the Raleigh, NC office supporting the Markit Loan Settlement business. This person will lead a dynamic team, responsible for all closing related functions on the Loan Platforms Settlement Team which primarily supports LSTA, LMA primary, secondary and distressed loan trades. Duties & accountabilities Oversee day-to-day teams' operation and performance Set clear team goals, delegate tasks and set project deadlines Do regular performance evaluation Communicate with teams about their performance Monitor team performance and report on metrics Motivate team members Discover training needs and provide coaching Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts Closing duties, trade support. Responsible for accurate review and circulation of trade confirmations, assignment agreements, multilateral agreements, netting agreements and funding memos to ensure all facts and data are accurate for trade closing of syndicated facilities Pro-actively escalate issues and work with peers and management on a resolution Closing process of all primary and secondary par loan transactions must adhere to LSTA & LMA standards Be pro-active in identifying problems on a trade and either resolving or escalating them Capture and channel user feedback to the management team in order to facilitate the continuous improvement of our products and services Projects as requested by management Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree required Experience within the financial industry as well as an understanding of the loan market and our clients' operational needs 5+ years of managerial and hands-on training experience Personal competencies Mature and independent.
