Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Network and Security Engineer to be a part of their existing team. This individual will act as a lead and will provide guidance. Title: Senior Network and Security Engineer Job Location: Raleigh, NC Responsibilities:

• Application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications
• Document the existing environment
• Design and Architect an upgraded environment
• Execute the approved design
• Act as a lead, providing guidance to junior Engineers
• Provide guidance on Security best practices and policies Qualifications:
  • 5 - 7 years of Networking and Security experience
  • Knowledge and Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Knowledge and Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Knowledge and Experience with various Wireless solutions from Meraki, Aruba and legacy Cisco controller based wireless
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols like IGRP, OSPF, etc.
  • Experience with network design\re-design
  • Strong understanding of IT Security best practices and how to translate these to the applicable technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
