The Allscripts Unity and FHIR-enabled APIs are a core component of the Allscripts Open strategy, enabling Allscripts clients, partners, and integrators to develop innovative solutions that enhance and extend the Allscripts electronic health record (EHR) and practice-management systems. The Associate Allscripts API Support Engineer is responsible for providing a broad range of support to Allscripts Developer Program (ADP) partners, integrators, and clients using the Allscripts Unity and FHIR-enabled APIs. This requires working directly with partners and clients with development and implementation projects, as well as with internal Unity, FHIR, and related teams. Responsibilities * Assisting internal and external partners and clients with development projects using Allscripts Unity and FHIR APIs * Ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables * Liaison with Business Analysts and/or internal customers to ensure that requirements are understood * Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans * Production of supporting technical and installation documentation for internal and external publication * Timely and accurate reporting of project status as required by Line or Project Manager * Escalate all issues in a timely fashion Qualifications Academic and professional qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant program of study or relevant IT experience Experience: * 0-2 years' experience * Broad experience with modern development languages, such as C#, Python, Java, and/or Ruby * MS SQL experience a plus * Knowledge of and experience coding for HTTPS networking, security, web services, JSON or SOAP/XML, user interface * Healthcare and healthcare IT domain knowledge a strong plus * Clear written and spoken communication skills for working with partners and clients Travel Requirements: * Very little to no travel is required in this role Working Arrangements: * Monday through Friday or as defined by local requirements At Allscripts, our greatest strength comes from bringing together talented people with diverse perspectives to support the technology needs of 180,000 physicians, 1,500 hospitals and 10,000 post-acute organizations across the globe.
