Cognizant Technology Solutions in LSMG is seeking for an Sr MES Engineer who could join our team in a permanent role. Key Responsibilities MES Implementation & Configuration Design, configure, and support Werum PAS?X modules including EBR, Phases, Recipes, Equipment Models, and Interfaces. Author and maintain PAS?X master data, process instructions, and S88-compliant models for manufacturing and packaging operations. Support enhancements, changes, and rollout activities in accordance with SDLC and change management processes. Site Operations & Production Support Provide onsite L2/L3 MES support during manufacturing operations, including shop-floor issue resolution and incident management. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, QA, Automation, Infrastructure) to ensure minimal downtime and rapid issue resolution. Support Go?Live, Hypercare, and steady?state operations for PAS?X systems. Validation & Compliance Execute and support CSV activities including IQ, OQ, UAT, and validation documentation (RS, FS, DS, Traceability). Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and site SOPs. Support audit readiness, inspections, and regulatory responses related to MES. System Integration & Technical Leadership Support integrations between PAS?X and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., SAP ERP, LIMS, historians, automation layers). Lead or contribute to PAS?X upgrades, patches, hotfixes, backup/restore, DR testing, and performance tuning activities. Act as a technical mentor for junior engineers and offshore support teams. Required Qualifications Experience 5 years of MES experience in Life Sciences or regulated manufacturing environments. Strong hands-on experience with Werum PAS?X (implementation and/or support). Proven experience supporting GMP manufacturing sites in an onsite capacity. Technical Skills Werum PAS?X (EBR, Phases, Recipes, EM, Interfaces). MES validation and compliance (CSV, GAMP). Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL-aligned). Integration knowledge with ERP (SAP), Automation, and shop?floor systems. Strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large pharma manufacturing sites in the US. Prior experience with global MES templates or multi-site rollouts. Exposure to related platforms such as Emerson Syncade, Rockwell FTPS, OSI PI, or similar MES/automation tools. Experience working in 24x7 manufacturing support environments. Work Arrangement Onsite role at the Wilson, NC manufacturing facility. Occasional off-hours or weekend support may be required during production, cutovers, or upgrades.
