Job Description:

Personify, a nationally recognized and awarded recruiting firm, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our client, the manufacturer of the world's leading fueling and convenience store equipment and technology, based in Greensboro, NC. Provide engineering expertise for manufacturing operations projects team to ensure products are produced safely with the highest quality. Optimize manufacturing processes, to ensure cost effective solutions to meet company targets and customer expectations. Provide accurate methods, process instructions, routings, and standards. Review manufacturing processes and provide effective solutions in inefficient areas. Key Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing processes and design assembly tools, fixtures, jigs, and workstations for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies used in retail fueling dispenser applications Formulate and issue clear and concise process instructions, methods, and all pertinent manufacturing documentation necessary to manufacture products of the highest quality in the safest manner in accordance with design intent Develop and maintain current and accurate labor standards and routings to accurately cost parts and ensure orderly production flow Provide for equipment and tooling needs for production departments, coordinating all aspects of the implementation of these items Develop and incorporate manufacturing improvements and cost reductions in support of Policy Deployment objectives Provide manufacturing engineering assistance to suppliers of component parts Implement design engineering changes to products by making all required documentation changes and ensuring availability of equipment and tools; may include making design recommendations for production and performance enhancements Provide engineering assistance as technical resource for projects generated by production teams Review and coordinate manufacturing process quality improvements to optimize component quality at optimum costs Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects and lead Kaizen events Assure awareness of the significant environmental aspects and environmental compliance obligations of your operations and ensure controls are in place Other duties as assigned Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) and/or Associate degree plus equivalent relevant work experience preferred 3- 5 years' experience in an applied engineering or manufacturing environment Applied knowledge and experience with implementing various manufacturing processes: Automation, controls, moving lines, lean manufacturing, and electrical/mechanical assembly.
