Location: Remote work-from-home position (MUST BE USA BASED)

Annual Salary: $15.00 USD per hour

Contract: Self-employed contractor. Look after your own taxes. No additional benefits. Six-month contract with extension likely.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.

Twinkl are currently looking for a USA based PK-6th Grade Content Writer creating standards-aligned educational resources for U.S. educators, you will create innovative, engaging new printable and digital teaching resources to address key curriculum objectives that meet the needs of those who teach across the United States. The content you write will be turned into professional Twinkl products by our highly skilled design and illustration team. Educators with English and Spanish reading and writing skills are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will be part of an agile working team that communicates via email, messaging, and video meetings. To fulfil this role, you will need to provide your own technology and have reliable high-speed internet access.

You will need to complete 37.5 hours per week, every week. You must be available to work between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon EST Monday - Friday. All other hours can be completed at times suitable for you Monday - Sunday.

Ongoing projects/how you'll spend your day:
Writing grade-aligned content for ELA, math, science, social studies, and other curriculum areas, as required.
Researching educational resource trends to make sure your assigned resources will be instant hits with our millions of global members.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:
Show a creative, innovative, and tech-driven approach to teaching and learning.
Take pride in your excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
Demonstrate excellent time management, organization, and technology skills.

In this role, you will learn:
Content creation.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Certified U.S. upper elementary or middle school teacher (state-issued license must be current and in good standing).
Experienced classroom teacher with a minimum of two years of recent public school experience in an upper elementary or middle school classroom setting.
