About the ERA Coalition & Fund for Women's EqualityThe Fund for Women's Equality (FFWE), a 501(c)(3), and its sister organization the ERA Coalition, a 501(c)(4), seeks a Social Media Coordinator to support this national organization, which works to educate and build a diverse coalition fighting to publish the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and implement full sex equality under the law. We center the voices of marginalized people and communities - women of color (African American, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Latina, and Native American), gender-nonconforming and transgender women and girls, and nonbinary people - both as a matter of justice and because we trust deeply that these are the leaders who are poised to win. -
This is a great opportunity for somebody passionate about equal rights and social media. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Social Media Strategist in preparation for her parental leave, and then work directly with the Director of Communications and support the responsibilities of the Social Media Strategist while she is on parental leave.
About the RoleThe Social Media Coordinator will be an integral member of the team responsible for supporting all social media activities. The Social Media Coordinator must be creative, calendar-driven, have a passion for storytelling, be comfortable in front of the camera, and enjoy working within a mutually supportive, collaborative, highly dedicated, and mission-driven team.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, creation, and publication of engaging text, images, and video content and keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and trends for the ERA Coalition and the Fund For Women's Equality social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • When needed attend events to capture content in the form of pictures and videos for the ERA Coalition and FFWE.
  • Collaborate with both the ERA Coalition and FFWE teams to ensure social media content adheres to organizational branding and messaging.
  • Update and maintain the ERA Coalition and FFWE social media calendar, and help manage all social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, and Twitter.
  • Strategize with the communications team to create social media campaigns and adhere to a regular publishing schedule aligned across all channels.
    • 3-4 years of social media work experience and 1-2 years of influencer manager experience a plus
    • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok
    • Experience in creating content for social media including copywriting, video, and graphic design using Canva
    • Extra points for experience with Adobe editing tools.
    • A thirst for creativity and learning with strong organizational and collaboration skills

      Compensation: $4,000 - $4,500 monthly dependent on experience. Contracted for five months. -
      Benefits: The ERA Coalition/FFWE currently provides paid holidays, vacation, sick, parental leave, monthly contribution for health insurance premiums, and short-term disability and workers compensation insurance.
