Job Description:
Position Summary Under the guidance of the Director for Campus
Health Services, this position assumes responsibility for the
secretarial needs of the Executive Director and the other key
personnel in Administration, which includes the Director of
Clinical Medicine, Director of Nursing, Director of Finance and
Support Services, Director of Pharmacy and Professional Services
and Medical Director. The needs for this department include but are
not limited to: producing and analyzing reports, processing
academic interventions, recording minutes for administrative
meetings, editing/proofreading with editorial assistance, composing
confidential correspondence, maintaining administrative filing
system including contracts, assisting with Performance Improvement
(PI) functions and compliance to accreditation standards, and
processing policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities
include public relations and public contact in person, by telephone
and by electronic communication methods, setting of appointments,
arranging schedules, screening phone calls and processing
correspondence. This position functions with the flexibility
necessary to accommodate multiple managers within the organization.
The Assistant to the Director position functions independently and
through coordination, planning, prioritizing, and communication, is
able to expand and accept additional responsibilities as necessary.
Advanced oral and written communication skills are essential due to
the high volume of public relations and public contact involved. In
keeping with the CHS mission of availability to the student
population and community a direct email address is available
through the office of the AVC to answer questions, problem solve,
advise, refer, and channel questions to the proper resource. This
position serves as a central resource for CHS employees as well.
This position serves as a member of the Campus Health Advisory
Board. Manages annual Campus Health and CAPS Retreat in addition to
other Staff Enrichment annual events. This position is responsible
for the scheduling of all meeting rooms. Work Schedule Monday
through Friday, 8am-5pm
