2-3 Months) Location: Mebane, NC Compensation: $28-$32/hr Type:
Contract (2-3 months) About the Role Our client is seeking a
contract Payroll/HR Analyst with strong analytical capabilities and
advanced Excel skills to support payroll operations for
approximately 200 employees at their North Carolina manufacturing
facility. This role is primarily payroll?focused , with additional
responsibilities in reporting, compliance, and workforce analytics.
Working closely with the HR Manager, HR Director, and Finance, the
Payroll/HR Analyst ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and
delivers meaningful data insights during this 2-3 month engagement.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Management (Primary Focus) Own and
process biweekly payroll for ~200 employees accurately and on time.
Maintain, audit, and approve the time and attendance system.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies. Support payroll for
the San Francisco office if needed. Conduct quarterly payroll
system reviews and recommend process improvements. HR Operations &
Compliance Administer benefits enrollment, changes, billing
reconciliation, and support employee inquiries. Manage leave
programs (FMLA, ADA, disability, sick leave). File and track
Workers' Compensation claims. Monitor compliance with state and
federal labor regulations and propose policy updates. Reporting,
Analytics & Insights Prepare payroll and HR reports: labor hours,
overtime, month-end allocations, etc. Deliver monthly ESG and
workforce trends reports (retention, overtime, absenteeism). Lead
absenteeism reporting and continuous improvement tracking. Partner
with Finance on labor cost analytics and forecasting. Build
workforce planning models (shift coverage, overtime reduction,
headcount projections). Analyze HR and workforce data to support
strategic initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR,
Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of
experience in payroll, HR, or HRIS; manufacturing or multi-shift
environment strongly preferred. Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot
tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis). Expertise in payroll
administration, benefits, and compliance (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
Experience with HRIS/timekeeping systems such as ADP, SAP, UKG, or
similar. High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and
professionalism with confidential data. Competencies Ownership &
Accountability: Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Analytical Thinking: Uses data to influence and guide workforce
decisions. Problem Solving: Proactively identifies and resolves
payroll or reporting issues. Collaboration: Works effectively
across HR, Finance, and operations teams. Pay Details: $28.00 to
