As a leader in this National Specialty Tax Practice, your insight is valued and welcome. You will help develop the vision, strategies, and action plans to grow Cherry Bekaert's CRS Practice. You will work with a wide range of clients across the firm to provide valuable Historic Tax Credits insight and advisory plans, contributing to the growth of top-line revenue. One of your most important roles will be to help mentor junior colleagues and build a strong team.The Tax Senior Manager/Manager will focus on the growing the Historic Tax Credits space. As a valued member of our Cash Recovery Services (CRS) Practice, you will work with an excellent team of CPAs and tax law experts. This tight-knit group offers unparalleled knowledge and service in the area of historic tax credit and accounting methods and helps clients identify and realize value-added opportunities within the Historic Tax Credit (HTC) space.Skills you need for this role?

  • Proven knowledge of the Historic Tax Credit across all domains of Structuring, Modeling and Qualified Rehabilitation Expenditure Analysis.
  • Experience combining the HTC with other tax credits and incentives.
  • Understanding tax equity investment structures.
  • Understanding of Federal partnership law.Experience you need for this role?
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience is required working in federal tax compliance and tax consulting services, specifically in applying Modeling, Forecasting and Structuring Analysis in HTC Transactions
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field. A CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM or JD is required
    • Ability to travel up to 30% to meet with clients across our offices
    • Desire to participate in strategic planning initiatives with respect to Cash Recovery Services
