Job Description:
The In Room Dining Supervisor provides an exceptional and
memorable guest experience by thoughtful, professional supervision
of the In Room Dining Team. To consistently achieve the service and
product delivery standards, with a high degree of guest care. The
In Room Dining Supervisor will assist in the overall direction and
operation of the department in accordance with The Umstead Hotel
standards.*Pay range includes base hourly pay plus tips.Job
Requirements:Provide keen leadership and support to In Room Dining
captains, order takers, servers, overnight servers, and honor bar
servers. This includes filling the role of any In Room Dining
position when necessary.Exceptional knowledge of all Umstead Hotel
In Room Dining and Honor Bar standards and operating
procedures.Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness.Clear
communication abilities to direct associates and interact with
guests, clients, and internal departments to build
relationships.Anticipate guests needs and respond urgently to
concerns and requests.Inspects In Room Dining and Honor Bar setup
areas, floors, and service landings to ensure standards of service
are maintained consistently.Assists with administrative duties
including daily logs, inventory and preparing supply
requisitions.Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of amenities
to enhance the guest experience.Train and motivate the work of In
Room Dining associates, ensuring that all are complying with The
Umstead Hotel & Spa Vision and Values.Ensure proper care and
maintenance of hotel equipment.Attend all required meetings and
trainings.Comply with The Umstead Hotel & Spa Vision and
Values.Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and
supervisors.In addition, other duties may be required as directed
by your manager.#UHSSJPhysical Requirements:Must be able to
continuously stand/ walk a minimum of 8 hoursReport to work on
time, properly groomed and professionally dressed.Must be able to
periodically lift and carry up to 30 lbs. over the course of a
shift.Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of
a shift.Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in
English, both written and oral.All employees must maintain a neat,
clean and well-groomed appearance per The Umstead Hotel
standards.Will be occasionally required to perform job functions
outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other
elements.Must be able to operate all In Room Dining and Honor Bar
related equipment: coffee machine, hot box, wine/ bottle openerMust
be able to work a flexible shift that includes nights, weekends and
holidaysQualifications:Education:High school or equivalent
education required. Four year hospitality degree
preferred.Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years hotel food and beverage
supervisory experience at a four or five star rated property. In
Room Dining supervisory experience preferred.Licenses or
Certificates:Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government
