Job Description:
Position Description: Converts client data into software architecture, using
Informatica and data scripting languages -- SQL. Analyzes client
source data to identify issues, potential causes, and suggested
remediation. Retrieves information from databases using SQL.
Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple
software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience performing relational and
dimensional data conversion analysis of defined benefits data
services datasets. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
performing relational and dimensional data conversion analysis of
defined benefits data services datasets. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing data conversion for
defined benefits data services, using SQL Server, Sybase,
Informatica, and Tableau; and analyzing data formulas within a
defined benefits calculation engine using SQL. DE writing SQL queries and scripts to extract data from large
data sets within relational database environments; writing stored
procedures to insert and maintain data, using Informatica, SQL, and
T-SQL/PLSQL database queries; and developing and staging data
analysis reports, using Tableau and WebFOCUS. DE performing analysis of datasets for defined benefits data
services, using SQL and Informatica; translating business
requirements into technical designs and mapping strategy documents
in a fast-paced Agile delivery model; and collaborating with
clients and their vendors to analyze data and resolve roadblocks
spanning the entire project. DE extracting data from data stores/flat files and loading the
data into relational database environments -- SYBASE and SQL Server
-- using Informatica and SQL; performing database creation and ETL
design, using Sybase, SQL Server, and SQL according to defined
benefits data conversion standards; and performing data updates
according to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
